The StoryHans HeftiHans Hefti, born in Switzerland, lived in Neenah from the time he moved to the US until his death in 1974. Hans was brought to Neenah from Switzerland because of his engineering background and education, and was an engineer at Kimberly Clark. He also came to Neenah around the same time as Ernst Mahler, and was good friends with S.F. Shattuck. When Hans found out that Shattuck was selling his house, he bought it. In 1932, Hans moved into the Perry Lindsley house with his first wife, Sylvina, and adopted son (age two then), John. Hans owned the house up until his death in 1974.
