Perry Lindsley House Through Time
Timeline
- 1893: The Perry Lindsley House was constructed. Perry, his wife, two sons and a daughter live in the house. Address was 624 E. Forest.
- 1910: William Klavon, druggist, purchases the home
- 1913: Henry Sheeren, mail carrier, purchases the home. Address is 816 E. Forest Ave.
- 1920: Milan Hoyman, worker at Kimberly Clark, moves into the home with his family.
- 1924: Address change by post office, address is now 1102 E. Forest Ave.
- 1931: House is vacant
- 1932: S.F. Shattuck owns the Perry Lindsley House for only two months
- 1932-1974: Hans Hefti takes ownership of the house
- 1974-2013: Hans' son, John Hefti, becomes the owner of the Perry Lindsley House after the passing of his father
- September 2nd, 2003: Listed on the National Register
- 2013: Sally Orm, John Hefti's life partner, inherited the house after John's passing
- 2014-2015: Sally Orm renovates the Perry Lindsley House and adds new electricity, updates the kitchen, updates the bathroom, repaints the walls, removes the linoleum covering the wood floors, and converts the fireplace to gas
- 2015- Present: Sally Orm lives in the Perry Lindsley House and is in the process of repainting it's exterior
